ANAGRAMS
Try moonstarer to find astronomer, also finds smaller words such as resonator and tearooms.
BLANK LETTERS
Use + to represent blank letters, enter scrabb++ to find crabbers and scrabble.
DEFINITIONS
Press the search icon next to a word to view it's definition, example usages and synonyms. You can click on the synonyms for further info and hear the word by pressing the speak button.
Note, if no definition is found the app will search the web for a definition.
FILTERS
Narrow down your results using filters, you can allow words that start with, end with, contain or exclude certain letters. A powerful feature when you need to find words that fit with other tiles on the game board.
CROSSWORDS
Use . to represent a missing letter, try c....w... to find clockwork and crossword
CROSSWORD PHRASES
Search over 100K built-in phrases, use a hyphen to denote a space, try m....-...-...... to find motte and bailey, miles per gallon and milky way galaxy

Green letters use the crossword search, eg ..e.t
Grey letters, add them to the Excludes Letters filter
Yellow letters, add them to the Includes Letters filter

This is a lot of fun for someone like me who likes to play with words. I have this app on my Android phone and my iPad, and one thing that's great about the iOS version is that it has a vertical scroll indicator so I can see how far down the list I am when I'm going through it. 5 stars for iOS, 4 for Android solely because the latter is missing that scroll-progress indicator.

I could not live without this app. As a complete word nerd, it is invaluable to use in my Word Games. Every day's a school day as one game has some really obscure words, and I try to remember them. Unfortunately, sometimes the developers use archaic words and some are made up! Highly recommended 👌 Used daily as there are always some strange "words" in my game .... some are even made up, as they are not grammatically correct! I've recommended this app to every member of my team.It's the best one

The "go to" tool for solving word puzzles. I've been using it for years. it's the most powerful tool to help solve Wordle, Quordle, Octordle and crossword puzzles. Well worth the price for the ad-free version. For Wordle, just tap in 5 dots where it says "Enter Letters" and Search. From there, open the filter options. The common filters are "Containing Letters", "Excluding Letters" and "Word Pattern". Also use "Distinct Letters" for early guesses. Couldn't be easier.
